More information on funding trends
The Grandfamilies & Kinship Support Network hosted a webinar on June 25, 2024 to explore sources and tips for diversifying your funding for kinship services and programs, including through an array of federal programs often not accessed or thought of for kin. For example – you’ll hear how U.S. Department of Justice, Victim of Crime Act funds are used to provide kin with legal assistance and kinship navigator services. We also discussed state and local government funding, along with private sources, including foundations and corporations.
Then, to help you pitch your idea or create your formal proposal, we shared a Network-created funding toolkit that provides templates and other resources. Access the webinar recording above and empower yourself with ideas and tools to fund your services and supports for kinship/grandfamilies.
