RegisterTo support the roll out of kin-specific foster home approval standards around the country, the Network has created a training for child welfare agencies to deliver to their staff. Join us for this “train the trainers” style webinar and get the tools you need to tailor our training package – all free of charge – to your agency’s needs and help you promote a kin-first culture.
The “Valuing and Supporting Kin Caregivers” training is designed to be flexible and tailorable to your agency’s needs. Fundamentally, it seeks to engage child welfare staff and help them embrace kinship care and its positive impact on child well-being, while also celebrating their important role in the lives of these children and families.
Kinship service professionals with lived experience as kin caregivers will deliver the training content. Having already delivered this training to several counties in Maryland, our presenters are well equipped to share lessons learned, tips, interactive activities, and engaging presentation strategies. After attending our webinar, you can modify and deliver the content to suit your agency’s needs.
